Health Camp with Akshaya Patra COVID-19 relief

Panmedical's first Digital Health Camp, run in partnership with Akshaya Patra's COVID-19 relief programme. Beneficiaries receiving food and relief supplies were also offered free online consultations on the same day, so a single visit covered both immediate needs and longer-term health check-ins.

COVID lockdowns had made routine healthcare almost impossible in a lot of the communities Akshaya Patra was serving. Pairing a food-relief run with a telemedicine consultation slot meant people could get a doctor's opinion on symptoms they had been sitting on for months, without needing to travel anywhere.

This camp was the proof-of-concept that shaped every Panmedical health camp that followed: partner with an organisation that is already trusted in the community, meet people where they already are, and use telemedicine to extend the care beyond the day of the camp.
