North Delhi

A menstrual health awareness camp was held in North Delhi on November 8th, 2023 as part of the Pinky Bank community programme. Sessions were led in the local language by women health workers, with over 80 adolescent girls and young women attending. Every participant received a starter kit containing sanitary napkins for the month, a wipe-clean storage pouch, and a printed quick-reference card on common cycle symptoms and when to see a doctor.
The camp focused on breaking taboos that keep many girls out of school during their period. Health workers walked attendees through cycle basics, correct product use, safe disposal, and when a symptom is worth speaking to a doctor about. A short Q&A followed the session, with local mothers joining in so the conversation continued at home.
Distribution in this area continues monthly through a local point person, so the same girls receive supplies reliably rather than as a one-time handout. If you would like to sponsor a kit, a school, or an entire district drive, get in touch at pinkybank11@gmail.com.
